Site Concepts

Do not think that because you have a bunch of hot photos that someone is willing to pay for them! Adult content flows freely on the internet. You need to have a concept that appeals to a particular niche. Your concept should be somewhat off the beaten path in order for you to claim your share of this multi billion dollar industry. Consider one of the following categories when deciding on your site concept.

Photos Alone Will Not Cut It

Customers are less and less willing to pay for still photos alone. This means you may have to invest in a video camera or a digital camera that is capable of shooting decent video. Most web cams are fairly bad at shooting video for this purpose.

Update Your Site Regularly

A static site becomes stale very quickly. No one makes money from a site that never changes. Text is Key!

When you are trying to appeal to customers and drive traffic to your site, the only way customers will know what you have to offer them is by your text descriptions. Photos DO NOT speak for theme selves because search engines don't interpret what is in each photo. You have to describe your photos and videos so they can be found by web surfers.

Take note of all of the words that are in italics above to see what your surfers will be searching for. If your site lacks this level of detail, you are missing out on a ton of potential traffic.

Content continuity is something that many newbie webmasters do not quite fully understand. In some cases webmasters put to much focus on the number of image and video files they have uploaded without much concern for its cohesiveness.

You have to look at update sets as if it were telling your visitors a story. If that story is "Here is a bunch of unrelated porn", you have provided nothing more than they could get from a well crafted Google Image Search.

Your site and subsequent updates should have relevance to the overall site theme as well as continuity.

Create your updates as sets from the same photo/video session. Optimize your resources by creating as much content as you can with the performers (or self) that you have available at that time. You may want to consider shooting multiple sets during the same session by changing location, clothing or other aspects of the photo shoot to make it unique.

A reasonable size set would include 40 - 60 images as well as 10 - 20 video clips.

Photography

With the advent of low cost, high quality, digital cameras, it is no longer necessary to spend a lot of money to get quality photographs suitable for internet work, however, there are some things you need to be aware of.

• Light the area adequately. Poor lighting = poor photos. Many digital cameras will not focus correctly in low light.
• Don't hesitate to touch your photos up with an image editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Put your best foot forward whenever you can. These tools are great for erasing blemishes and tiny lines.
